Irish artist Diana Copperwhite explores the concept of memory and abstraction through her brilliantly colored paintings. Her palette knife strokes push and pull a viewers eye in and orderly yet dizzying composition of directions, making centerpoints of silhouetted figure shapes that remind us of the nature of these pieces as an exploration of something inside us that holds a memory of everything around us. Her process begins with very recognizable images that become more and more distorted as she adds layer after layer to the artwork’s face. Explore her colorful wonder works below!
