Greg Ito’s simple and symbolic paintings

Based in Los Angeles, young artist, art magazine producer and editor, and gallery operator, Greg Ito produces incredible minimalistic and representative juxtapositioned paintings. Ito juggles all these facets of the art world by being careful to never overwork himself and balance time in a way that allows all of his endeavors to develop and flourish. His latest paintings show a step away from his stylized abstract images from the past. The simple line drawings are easy to interpret and because of their typically right-angled formatting one can see them as pieces of the bigger image. The task of the viewer seems to be to take the images and combine them in a way that sets a scene or tells a story in their head. What kind of messages do you receive from Greg Ito’s artwork?
