Giorgio Dante, born in 1982, is an Italian figurative painter who currently lives and works in Rome, Italy. Dante has established himself as part of a relatively recent revival of the classical figure in today’s contemporary world of art. Since childhood, the artist has been inspired by Italian art and has looked to the old masters for inspiration as he has focused on an academic perspective on art. Giorgio’s artwork displays a utopian world perfect figures and classical Italian lighting and colors. In most of his paintings Dante captures the figure suspended in motion giving the feeling that one is experiencing a scene part of a bigger story and dialogue. See his work below!
