London based artist Tracey Emin reveals honest moments ranging from utter humiliation to her inner-most hopes through a range of mediums including painting, drawing, video, installation, photography, needlework and sculpture. Tracey’s work has an often sexually provocative attitude that firmly locates her collective body of artwork within the feminist tradition of being untraditional. She reaffirms this in her work by using conventional handicraft techniques (or women’s work) for her more radical themes. Her very personal pieces often include names of past lovers, promises that didn’t turn out, and reactive statements. Her drawings and paintings reach to promote the complex and personal states of being lost to the world and stuck inside one’s own mind regarding unique issues. Interpret and enjoy Emin’s work below!
