Nunzio Paci’s portrayal of the relationship between man and nature

Nunzio Paci is an artist who lives and works in Italy. His paintings merge anatomical images of mankind and organic pieces of nature like spreading trees and creeping fungi. Paci states about his own art, “My whole work deals with the relationship between man and Nature, in particular with animals and plants. The focus of my observation is body with its mutations. My intention is to explore the infinite possibilities of life, in search of a balance between reality and imagination.” His pieces trigger the viewer’s memory the Leonardo Da Vinci’s many sketches with their anatomical studies and attached labels written backwards. Nunzio Paci paints most of his figures and animals in grey tones while opting to color their insides creating strong focal points of winding muscles and growths. Explore the artist’s work below!
