The most amazing thing about the art world is that while exploring it you constantly face a good chance at being completely surprised by what you discover. Troy Emery’s trippy yarn and pompom animals from a rainbow world do just that. The artist currently resides and creates his object-based sculptures in Melbourne, Australia. He uses taxidermy mannequins from real animals in-between what are considered the exotic and the common such as mountain lions, wolverines, foxes, and others but their colorful pelts oftentimes make them unrecognizable. Emery strives to make a statement on our perception of animals. Animals are seen as many things. Anything from friends and pets to property and decoration. What do you think about his work?
