Jean-Pierre Roy, who currently lives in NYC and teaches at the New York Academy of Art, paints in a photorealistic manner while still thriving off of the imagination. His artwork depicts larger-than-life scenes taking place involving casually dressed young men oftentimes with geometric shapes obscuring their faces, heads, and sometimes bodies. The grandeur in scale coupled with the sometimes aggresive-looking actions of the giant subjects creates an ominous feeling that permeates throughout Roy’s work. Jean-Pierre has been featured in galleries and magazines all over the world for this body of work. Check it out below!
