About 10 years ago, Gianluca Traina was a recently graduated fashion student working with some of the best in Italy. However, after feeling disillusioned with the fashion industry, he left the field, returned home, and took a painting class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. Gianluca began to find a passion and surge of creativity which led him in 2012 to develop a technique of weaving painted paper to create three-dimensional portraits from paintings on paper! He called his technique Portrait 360 and found incredible and almost immediate success. His intricate pieces were recently featured in Miami as he continues to create his stunning art.
